This past Friday we had the joy of closing on our first home. We are now officially home owners and delighted to have purchased a 1926 home in Kansas City, MO. The excitement of this endeavor certainly overshadows the massive debt we are willfully taking on. We look forward to moving to Kansas City over New Years and can't wait to begin making this house our own. The house has oodles of character which just needs a little special attention and updating. We'll dream and plan, but wait to put our projects into action until our financial state recovers!
We were thankful to have help from family over the weekend as we moved about 75% of our belongings from a storage unit in KC into the house. We were able to get this first round situated/organized and tackle some yard work in preparation for winter. We'll again enjoy the help of family over New Years as we move ourselves (baby in tow!) and our remaining belongings from Denver. Dave's parents and brother Nate have graciously offered to help with this phase of things. Exciting changes on our front!
