Jack and I enjoyed a mid-day excursion to the park the other week despite summer's relentless heat. I've been wanting to try Jack in the kiddie swing even though I know he is yet too small for a true swing experience. We did it, but between the direct sun exposure and gigantic swing, he showed indifference rather than the joy he's shown when gently pushed in his doorway jumper. Something to save and look forward to as he gets bigger!
We spent the remainder of our time at the park relaxing under a shade tree, people watching. Jack was content to lay on my lap, suck his fingers, track the leaves and branches blowing in the wind, and watch other children play.
Relaxing...
